If you love design, or if you're the entertaining type with a sophisticated sense of spontaneity and a refined eye, you have to check out Guild - either online or in person, if you can.
Guild is part showroom, part flower shop and part French cafe with good coffee and cocktails.
It was opened in December 2017 by Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, the duo behind Roman and Williams, the powerhouse interior design firm based in New York City.
Vogue says, "You’ve inevitably seen the work of Roman and Williams. The Standard Highline, the Chicago Athletic Association, the Ace Hotel in New Orleans, the New York restaurant Lafayette—all of those interiors were designed by the duo, as will the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s British Galleries, set to open in 2019. The firm is the design darling of New York, of Hollywood (Gwyneth Paltrow and Blake Lively are clients), of the South, of…everywhere. Which is why the anticipation for its first brick-and-mortar store—the only physical place you can buy Roman and Williams’s furniture—has had the creative world in a tizzy since it was announced earlier this year."
They're right, I've been excited to see the place too and I finally had the pleasure of visiting last weekend.
I took lots of pictures for you. Take a peek, get inspired and let me know what your impression of the place is in the comments below.
