Gotten frustrated with your life lately? Read this.
First, it’s important to know that you’re not alone. Millions of highly successful people go through periods of questioning what the heck they’re doing in these kinds of situations and crave a few days off the grid and away from it all.
If that's how you're feeling...you've been so frustrated that you're scheming up ways to escape to a new life, remind yourself of one thing:
The outside world is a reflection of your internal state.
Understanding this is the key to creating the life you want. "So what influences my internal state?", you ask.
Thoughts, beliefs, actions, attitude, and speech are the five factors that make up your reality. Everything that shows up in your world can be traced back to one (or more) of these five things. Think about it...
TOXIC CREATION #1: A person who seeks out news in the media that talks about murder, war, crime and violence experiences more fear and less trust. This flows into other aspects of their life like their relationship with their spouse. They are taking the action of seeking out fear-based speech and then having those thoughts build up to create an untrusting attitude towards their spouse.
REALITY CHECK:
Yes, these things happen in the world, BUT so do random acts of kindness, peace, forgiveness and compassion. Taking the action of seeking out positive friends who speak clearly and compassionately about what is going on in their life propels thoughts of happiness in you, which leads to a more loving attitude towards your spouse when you get to see them.
TOXIC CREATION #2: An dedicated entrepreneur is deep into writing a blog post they know is going viral when their stomach starts panging with hunger. In an effort to get something quick so they can get back to writing they stop by the drive thru of McDonalds. They order a Big Mac, large fries, and a large diet coke. When they get back to their laptop to write the hunger pangs are gone, but so is their creative edge. They now feel sluggish, slightly irritable and just end up surfing around Facebook looking at photos for the next two hours. The belief that hunger just needs to be satiated and that food doesn't effect our mind leads to the action of eating extremely harmful food resulting in low quality thoughts.
REALITY CHECK:
The food we put into our body matters! We are what we eat. You've heard it a hundred times. The food we put into our bodies actually effects our attitude and our thoughts. If you eat food that's alive, you feel more alive. Your body and your brain functions better. Until you are eating in a way that promotes proper functioning of the body and mind you can't give the rest of your life 100%. This means eating a plant-based, mostly raw diet filled with organic, nutrient-dense, chlorophyll-rich food. To learn more about this study Ayurveda and start eating more raw food. The belief that food matters leads to the action of eating in a way that is more sustainable for our bodies and the environment and this results in higher vibrational thoughts that positively impact our work.
Are you considering that having an undesirable internal state creates an undesirable external state yet?
Well, the good news is that you're in control of your thoughts, beliefs, actions, attitude, and speech. And the bad news is that you're in control of your thoughts, beliefs, actions, attitude, and speech. :) This means there is no room for being the victim and you are 100% responsible for your life.
I once heard that if you want to check in on your spiritual progress, examine your relationship with money, family, and intimate relationship. How are your relationships looking? If you reeeeally are committed to improving your financial situation and relationships, which of these five things do you need to put a little (or a lot) of TLC into? Thoughts, beliefs, actions, attitude, or speech?
Now is the perfect time to start this work. You have nothing to lose – well, except fear and the blues.
Peace and positive reflections.
