How Disease Develops - Stage 1

  • How Disease Develops - Stage 1
Disease is like a bad relationship.

The good stuff gets compromised to make room for the bad. Parts of us that were once alive and joyful are now suppressed and seem gone. We forget what it's like to be happy.

But there's hope. There are ways to dump Mr. Wrong and build your life back up. The process begins with understanding how we got ourselves into this unhealthy situation and ends with knowing where to seek support on the way out.

Here's the story of why we get sick in a dating tale and a scientific summary...

ACCUMULATION
Accumulation is the first stage of the manifestation of disease. It's the easiest stage at which to treat and the individual usually still appears quite healthy.

The Dating Game
The bad boy at school - you know, the one with a cig in one hand, gesturing a profanity in the other and a real 'fuck you' attitude towards life - starts flirting with the smartest girl in class. Even though she's smart, she feels some weird attraction to him and agrees to let him take her out (on his mortorcycle of course!). For the next three days in a row he takes her out for ice cream after school. After the their third ice cream date she starts missing her old boyfriend - the one who had respect for her parents, who did well in school and had goals in life.

The More Scientific Version
What we're taking into our bodies (in other words, what we're eating, what we're drinking and what we're thinking) is causing stress (bad boy).  Some examples of things that cause stress are:
  • sugar
  • polluted environment
  • negative thoughts
  • dehydration
  • acidity
  • radiation
  • low oxygen
The body isn't able to process stress very easily so the system get's backed up and your body begins to accumulate toxins - usually in the colon, the intestines or in the stomach. The body's intelligence will often create an aversion to the causal factor (3 days of ice cream and putting up with a bad boy) and a craving for the opposite qualities (old boyfriend), which can restore balance. You can notice this first stage of disease and toxic buildup by symptoms like:
  • constipation
  • gases in the colon
  • heat around the belly button area
  • dark yellow-colored urine
  • craving for candy and sugar
  • heaviness
  • lethargy
  • loss of appetite
