Take Your Beauty to a New Level With This Organic Face Moisturizer Recipe
The body never lies - especially the face.
Yeah...most of us have stuff show up on our face that we get a wee bit embarrassed about. But, check this out...if we take beauty to the next level we can see that what is showing up on our face might just be a reflection of what is going on inside.
For example, do you notice that you get zits on your face when you're feeling stressed or unclear? That's not a fun state to be in. But this is how it works.
What's worse, those zits aren't going anywhere unless you work through what's going on on the inside.
If you've ever wished for an effective way to deal with the real beauty, I've got you
covered.
Start noticing what is showing up on your pretty face over the course of the next week. Instead of getting immediately all wrapped up in fixing what you think is wrong, notice what kind of emotions you've been dealing with over the last week. Whether it' stress, anger, resentment, frustration, overwhelm or whatever else, take time to process the emotions. Let them out and let those suckers go. Take a bath with some lavender essential oils. Meditate. Go for a walk. Sit in a sauna. Think positive. Hey, maybe even do a day of juicing to cleanse your body out a bit.
In the meantime, here's a simple recipe for an all natural homemade face moisturizer so you and your face can work on a little lovin'.
This is the base formula you can use for any homemade moisturizer:
- 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
- 3 ounces of oil
- 1 ounce of cocoa butter or lanolin
- 2 ounces of rose water
For NORMAL skin, use almond or jojoba oil.
For DRY skin, use sesame oil or lanolin.
For OILY or BLEMISHED skin, use jojoba oil or jojoba butter.
For MATURE skin, use rice bran oil or ghee.
To prepare:
- Warm the oils and butter together and the floral water and aloe vera separately.
- Place all ingredients in a blender and whip.
- Optional: Add your favorite scent with a few drops of essential oils.
Note: to make a heavier night cream, decrease the amount of aloe vera gel and add Vitamin E and A or a little rosa mosquita oil.
Keep in an air tight jar in a cool place.
