Description
This revitalizing tea is a unique blend of warming herbs with fantastic invigorating properties. Ginger improves digestion, relieves constipation, reduces toxic build-up and strengthens the heart. Cinnamon improves circulation and relieves coughs and colds. Cardamom calms nerves, aids digestion and freshens the mouth. Drink it throughout the day to boost your vitality and maintain a healthy glow.
Ingredients
| 1 | T | fresh ginger (peeled and chopped into smaller chunks) |
| 1⁄2 | t | orange peel |
| 1 | t | cinnamon (use the cinnamon sticks that are broken up into chunks) |
| 1⁄2 | t | cardamom seeds |
| 1⁄4 | t | spearmint leaf |
| 1 | sli | lemon |
| 2 | c | water |
Instructions
- Place the water and the chunks of ginger into a small saucepan. Heat the water until it's about to boil. While you're waiting on the water add the remaining herbs and spices (minus the lemon) into a steeping device or teabag so that it's ready to go when the water gets done.
- Pour the water into your mug and strain out the ginger chunks. Steep the spices in the water for 2-4 minutes.
- Finally, once the water is at a sipping temperature, squeeze the lemon juice into your mug and give it a good stir (we wait until the end to squeeze the lemon juice into the water so that the enzymes aren't destroyed by scalding hot water).
